Do I need to extend my Non-O visa if I can't leave Thailand for 90 days?

Hello, I am on a non o multi, usually I would leave the country every 90 days, but obviously I can't.

Do I need to go to immigration and extend my visa?

Since I'm here longer than 90 days, do I need to do a 90 day report?

I am confused.

I should be leaving by June 4th.

Visa isn't expiring, just the 90 days entry is going to be up.

Thank you in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is asking about their options regarding a Non-O visa, specifically about the necessity to extend their stay or file a 90-day report since they cannot leave Thailand due to current circumstances. Responses indicate that an extension is required only if seeking specific long-term extensions or if on amnesty status. Additionally, since the user’s visa remains valid, they may be able to leave and re-enter for a new 90-day entry stamp once borders reopen.

I don't want the year extension either.

I would rather do nothing.

I'm just afraid of a fine when the borders open.

Nothing is good

The fines are waived if you are on amnesty - I'm on the same visa as you.

If you want to get a 60 day extension of stay based on visiting Thai family, OR a one year extension of stay based on being married to a Thai national, you have to visit immigration (assuming you’re not on amnesty).

If you want to go on amnesty, there is nothing you need to do.

>Since I'm here longer than 90 days, do I need to do a 90 day report?

No, those reports are filed for those people who are on an extension of stay or entry stamp that is longer the 90 days.

Assuming the borders reopen, and your visa is still valid, I believe you can bounce out and return for another 90 day stamp.
