Thanks for this group it is a godsend. I have read through many of the responses, but still have a few questions. I am a US citizen, reside in Chiang Mai, and entered the country on a multiple entry Non-IMM B visa on October 17,2019. I left the country once and re-entered on Jan 11. My current stamp expires on April 9. I read Mike Gaudet's post and he indicated I could go to Chiang Mai immigration and provide the following "... Reentry permits require 1000/3800THB (single/multi), TM-8 reentry request, copies of passport, visa stamp, TM-6 and TM-30".

Questions.

1. Is this all I need to provide?

1. When should I go?

1. Do I need anything from my Embassy.

1. If I get the stamp, is it for 90, 60 or 30 days?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user, a US citizen in Chiang Mai, is seeking clarification on the requirements for reentry with a Multiple Entry Non-IMM B visa. The comments suggest that a reentry permit may not be necessary due to having a Multiple Entry visa, and they advise the user to leave Thailand before the visa stamp expires or apply for a one-year Extension of Stay based on their employment.

If you leave the country and don’t have a valid work permit, you will not be allowed back in.

You have to leave the country before 9 April 2020 or apply for the 1 year Extension of Stay based on working in Thailand.

If you can not leave and your Employer can not meet the requirements to apply for the Extension of Stay, you can apply at your Embassy for the emergency letter and apply for an Extension of Stay based on Embassy request.

I am trying to avoid leaving the country as I think it is safer to stay in Thailand. I own company with girlfriend, file taxes each year, but do not have work permit since I am investor. Where do I go to request extension of stay? Immigration?
Robert *******
You have a Multiple Entry visa, no need to apply for a re-entry.

then what should I apply for at the immigration office? Normally I just leave the country and come back in. My visa doesn’t expire until September.
