Requesting help finding an insurance company that would cover all requirements to obtain a

( Non-OA retirement visa )

obtained at the royal Thai consulate in Los Angeles

I am requesting someone who has used or is using a current insurance company that they have obtained a

( Non-OA Retirement Visa )

that’s fulfils all the requirements such as

COVID-19- -COE- and the 400,000 inpatient and 40,000 outpatient

requirements

on the official Royal Thai Consulate website there are only 18 approved insurance companies

somebody had mentioned Luma and I contacted them and asked them for A policy that would fulfils

requirements for this Non- OA Quoted me 220,000 baht for a 62-year-old male for a year

and funny enough this Luma insurance agent sent a comparison with Pacific Cross for a similar coverage of 70,000 baht per year??

and I do not want to buy an insurance policy from a company that is not on this approved list,

I have seen people saying “it’s just fine with the insurance company I’m sending you reference to”??

unless they personally have bought and use this insurance to obtain the specific type of visa I’m applying for

( Non-OA Retirement Visa )

I’m not interested

I will only be back in America for a short period of time and don’t have time to buy insurance that is not excepted by the royal Thai consulate for my Visa

if anyone can help this confused retired American I would appreciate it

Thank you very much!

For in outpatient requirement, you can buy from LMG which is under the approved list. They offer cheaper option insurance for in outpatient requirement. The cheapest option is deductible 200k baht. If you just want to meet the requirement with cheapest cost but don’t care about the deductible, LMG is good for that purpose. For the covid19 insurance, you can buy from your local insurance company.

I have been using Pacific Cross since 2010. My coverage includes the mandatory OA visa requirements plus covid insurance. My current premium cost is approx

baht for a 70 yr old. I should add this includes multiple discounts as I have had only one claim during this period. Personally I consider Pacific Cross a reputable asia-pacific company with excellent customer service support here in Thailand.

I should add at 62 yrs you will probably be paying a higher rate as I took out my policy at 59 yrs. There is a steep increase after turning 60 yrs I believe.

When you say excellent customer service, I'm just curious what have you used this insurance for? What was your experience? Did you have to pay out of pocket and then get reimbursed?

Did you ever use outpatient?

In terms of customer service i am referring to occasions when I have contacted them for advice on health insurance policy inclusions/exclusions & the neverending immigration requirement shifts. Always efficient & with excellent english language skills.

My one hospitalisation involved both in/out patient expenses. It was the result of a motor accident where the other driver was deemed by the police to be 100% at fault. I sustained a broken leg & extensive ligament damage, the total bill would have run into 2-300k tbh. However without being sure i think the other drivers insurance co coughed up the majority....it cost me nothing. Sorry for being a bit vague on this.
