Hey guys, a bit of a troubling question I hope someone can help me out with.
A friend has got a multiple-entry visa, and a ticket back home on the 2nd of April. He didn't double check the stamps and the 60 days ran out on the 15th.
Has anyone been with a similar situation lately?
I did some research online and found on answer saying it's pretty much the immigration officer's decision if he'll get 30 or just a 7 day extension.
So the choices are either to wait until the 27th and pay 13 days of overstay or go tomorrow and pay for 5 days of overstay and then hope he'll get 30 I guess?
Anyone had a similar situation and could share a bit of insides on it?
Cheers!
TLDR : Answer Summary
A user seeks advice for a friend who has overstayed a multiple-entry visa, which expired on the 15th, and faces a flight back home on April 2nd. They are uncertain about whether to wait until the 27th to pay for 13 days of overstay or to address the situation immediately, potentially incurring only 5 days of overstay and hoping for a 30-day extension. The comments suggest that making an application at the immigration office and paying fines may lead to either a 30-day extension or a shorter one depending on the officer's decision.
