I need some advice !!!!!

I only have a tourist visa with a 30 day stamp in it , but this Stamp expired last month on the 24th , and I know that it will cost me 500bath for each day which I'm gonna pay ! I'm just wondering if there will be any other problems that I will face because of this ? Or I just pay the fine at the border ?!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is currently on a tourist visa that expired last month, resulting in a daily fine for overstay. They are seeking advice on the repercussions of their situation and whether they can simply pay the fine at the border when leaving the country. Various community members suggest options such as going to an immigration office to pay the overstay fine and apply for an extension instead of repeating a visa run, which could complicate their situation. There is consensus on the need to resolve the overstay issue as soon as possible to avoid further complications and fines.

Get yourself to an immigration office asap and apply for an extension.

You have to pay for the extension plus fine. But you do not get an overstay stamp on.
Robert *******
Yes, so it will mean fine 29 x 500 Thb a day overstay, 1.900 Thb for 30 day Extension and than 1.900 Thb for the 7 days Extension to leave Thailand.
David **********
So you can pay your overstay at an immigration office instead of leaving the country (including the 1900 extension of course)
Tod *********
they are on a 29 day overstay as of today.

At the immigration office they're only gonna be able to pay the overstay and apply for the extension denied 7 days to get outta thailand extension.

BUT doing that would make them legal for a week and they wouldn't have to worry about being caught out in thailand while on an overstay.

I will do a visa run this weekend , I don't want to f up , coz I am planning to stay for a long time and get married to my Thai fiance

@Les***
, what ever you're gonna do you need to decide on the course of action and get after it pretty soon, you're racking up 500baht a day in fines thinking about it..

So I should just do a visa run , I guess it's a lot better
Tod *********
you could go to the immigration office pay the overstay and either leave the country that day OR buy an extension denied get out of thailand in 7 days stamp for 1900baht.

I could actually do that ??

You have issues
Sukarom ******
Non-B visa can do also in Thailand but must have visa 30 days more
Tod *********
@Suk****
, only some companies do the 90 day Non-B inside the country at the immigration office. Most send their people out of the country to get one.

And seeing as the O/P is on an overstay they couldn't get the Non-B issued inside the country anyway.
David ************
That was a lot of help.
Tod *********
You shouldn't have a problem paying the overstay fine at the border (or at the airport if you fly out) then going to a thai consulate to get the 90 day Non-B visa for work..
Sean ********
I would fly to Saigon and apply for your first non b there. You'll only get a single entry 90 day non b without a work permit.
Rocky ***************
I would fly to Penang.

Word of advice...you are already on an overstay. Getting caught in the country while on overstay can be really bad (jail time). Go get a new tourist visa tomorrow. Getting a company to give you the proper paperwork for a non-b visa will take time and you're on borrowed time already.

I guess it's normal for plain clothes police to suddenly appear somewhere and start asking foreigners for documents ...Saw them yesterday at Airport link.... So u are on your own.
David **********
Immigration was checking foreigners at my 7-11 yesterday, be careful out there.
Zachery **********
Reminds me of Nazi Germany...lol
David ************
Don’t get caught before you pay up and don’t advertise your situation on Facebook and expose yourself. I hear the Bangkok Hilton (prison) is not a fun place.

Zachery **********
Doubt he would see the Bangkok Hilton but more or less immigration jail.
Ron *******
True!

I never believe that friend stuff. Lol

He's asking for a friend ;)

Dont get arrested or stopped by the BiB before you depart Thailand...because that will open up a whole other can of worms
Peter ***************
Better to go to the nearest immigration centre and pay the overstay as soon as you can.
Tod *********
wise words (y) it's not the overstay that hurts you, it's getting caught out on something else before you can exit the country and pay the fine that runs you off the rails..

Yes , I think I will if I can , so I don't have to go back and forth
Tod *********
so you're going to take the paperwork with you when you stamp out of the country so you can go to a thai consulate and buy a Non-B visa?
Tod *********
You don't have a tourist visa or any visa :/ You got stamped in on a 30 day visa exempt entry stamp when you arrived.

what are you wanting to do at the border after you pay your overstay fine? Are you going to a thai consulate in another country to BUY a visa for thailand or are you just gonna turn around and come back into thailand on a 30 day visa exempt stamp.
