Hello everyone. Just asking if anyone has been through this.

A friend of mine over stayed 90 days reporting (10 days over). Well, he paid the fine and got a stamp on his passport. Next week he is suppose to go for (non-B )visa extension. Do you think will there be any issues?

Thanks in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquires about potential issues their friend may face when applying for a Non-B visa extension after overstaying their visa by 10 days. Commenters clarify that the friend did not technically overstay as they only failed to file a 90-day report on time, which resulted in a minor fine of 2,000 THB and a stamp for the failure to report. They suggest that this should not affect his ability to secure the visa extension.

failing to file a 90 day report on time doesn't put you in an overstay situation. It puts you in a "failure to file a 90 day report on time" situation where you pay a 2000baht fine, get the failure to file stamp in your passport and are fine.

They won't have any problem getting a new extension of stay because of that stamp.
