I am resigning from the current job, due to HR vacancy my company asks me to cancel work permit and non-B visa by myself and they said they will provide any document that I need.

I have 3 questions here;

1. How to cancel both of them?my location is at bangkok.

2. Can I apply covid visa on the same day I canceled them?

3. If I want to work at another new company, changing work permit and apply new non-B visa/or/holding covid visa and apply new work permit and non-B visa, which one is more easier?

Please kindly give me advice or share your experience here, thanks in advance!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is resigning from their job and needs advice on canceling their work permit and non-B visa in Bangkok. They ask about the process to cancel these documents, whether they can apply for a COVID visa on the same day, and which options are easier for obtaining a new work permit and non-B visa for a new job. A commenter explains that to cancel the work permit, one should go to the labor office with resignation documents, followed by visiting the immigration office. For the COVID visa application, approval depends on discretion, and for new work permit options, it varies based on visa status and employer cooperation.

1. -> Go to the labor office bringing the resignation documents from your employer to cancel your work permit, then go to your immigration office with a work permit cancelation receipt to cancel your extension.

If you are working for the company for more than 3 months, you are on an extension based on employment, not on a Non-B visa anymore.

If you are still on the first 90days from Non-B, you don't have to (cannot) cancel your stamp. You can stay until the stamp runs out.

2. -> You can try applying. But if it's approved or not is at the discretion of the officer. Be prepared with a Plan B.

3. -> That depends on your current visa/extension situation, new employer, and the immigration office in the new province. Not all employers can (or want to) provide the documents for you to apply in-country, you need to talk with your new employer first.

And you cannot rely on Covid extension in advance.

Be aware, that without all details (your nationality, your visa/extension history, employer, old and new immigration office, and more) being exactly the same, someone else's experience may or may not be applied to you.
