Do I need to apply for a Covid visa extension before moving to Krabi after canceling my work permit in Chonburi?

Hi guys, I’m moving from Chonburi to Krabi on Friday. I have a Non-Im B visa and work permit which both expire at the end of November. 

However, I’ve been told I need to cancel the work permit in the place it was issued (Chonburi) so I plan on doing this before I leave to avoid traveling back to Chonburi. 

Does anyone know if I need to get the Covid visa extension as soon as my work permit is cancelled (making my visa void) or can I wait until I get to Krabi and do it there?

Haha, this is funny. Just went to CM immigration, you need your school to cancel your work permit. You need 1) letter from school saying you are done, 2) both forms form labour office saying your work permit is cancelled. Then you can go to the immigration office they will cancel your business extension one year and you can then on the same day apply for the covid extensions (same day as WP cancellation). Letter and forms don't have to be original just scanned and email to you

Bear in mind that many offices issue a “under consideration” stamp and need you to return to that same office somewhere between 5-15 days to get the remaining days stamped.

You will need to apply for the covid extension the same day as you cancel your work permit, otherwise you would be in overstay.

You don't cancel a work permit because you change houses, you cancel a work permit when you leave the job that is sponsoring your work permit. Are you no longer employed by that employer?
