Arrived at my apartment after the one day quarantine and negative test result. I asked at the building admin office if they need a copy of my passport for immigration. They informed me i have to go and report myself. I have a visa for 90 days. Has anyone been and done this on arrival? Or been asked to do this?

Went past Jontiem immigration and the queues are out to the carpark gate.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the requirement for expats in Thailand to report their residence to immigration upon arrival, specifically addressing the TM30 form that landlords must submit within 24 hours of a tenant's move-in. The user mentions their experiences with the long queues at immigration and validates other users suggesting an online registration app that has recently started working again, which can save trips to the immigration office. Additionally, if someone owns a condo but is on a visitor's visa, they also need to report to immigration.

An update, yes you have to do it on arrival, and yes it can be done online or at an immigration office where you need a lot of paperwork.

This is an old rule that wasn't really policed previously I believe? So if you stay at a Hotel they do it, but owners of housing now need to do it rather than the property manager I guess. You think they would make life easier not harder.

So if I'm an owner of a Condo but on a visitors visa I need to report in to immigration.

amazing Thailand, just when you think they could not make it harder or more complex, they manage to amaze you.

you get a paper in your passport stapled which some will not like globally haha. But I heard there is some proposed changes to this so you don't have rereport if you just go for a trip.

Anytime you rent, no matter how long, or where in Thailand, the landlord must report the rental within 24 hours to immigration, with your passport number.

Its the TM30 you are talking about

Its not there responsibility unless they are renting to you, its landlords responsibility
