How do I report location if arriving to a private residence and not wanting to pay a fine when needing a residency letter to buy a vehicle or whatever? How do you guys working 30/30 schedule offshore deal w the reporting?

TLDR : Answer Summary
When arriving in Thailand on a tourist visa or stamp, it's essential to report your location to avoid fines. You can do this in person at your local ampur police station or through the TM30 online system. If you own a vacation condo, you'll need to sign up for the online TM30 program or visit the immigration office for assistance. Having a local Thai speaker or English-speaking assistance can be beneficial, especially when dealing with immigration paperwork. Regular updates on your residency status are crucial, especially if you are frequently traveling for work.

I think at this point the O/P has enough information to figure out how to either sign up to use the online TM30 program OR go to the immigration office where they live to file it themselves.

I can't see this post giving them much more info than has been shared

Thanx all, but we're done..

As i told you before, you can go to amphur police station at your condo location to register residency(a kind of TM30 form based on thai language), but strongly recommend to take an english speaker thai with you there as nobody can speak english once you go immigration for 90 days report, the mmigration will replace the form that you got in police station with TM30 and staple it to your passport

you cannot do that anymore. I don't know of ANY police station that will let you file a TM30 (or anyother "i'm registered at this address) paper

This post helped me out greatly when registering on the online system:

Admins can better answer the tm 30 questions

But if you're working

, you won't ever need to do a "90" day report, because you "reset" everytime you re-enter.

You WILL need to register where you're staying, everytime you return. (first file from the hotel/SHA+ and then report once stationed in your residence.)

When you arrive in Thailand, you will have to spend at least 14 days in an ASQ or a SHA+ hotel, and they will submit a TM30.

After you leave the ASQ or SHA+ hotel, and you own the condo, you will talk to the immigration office or the local person responsible for maintaining the Condo how to self file a TM30. If you can read Thai, you can sign up for the TM30 system at

Online [best option]:

@Benjamin *****
thanks, so you can sign up for that online system without a visa?

@Dennis *******
you can register an account without a visa but you will need a blue/yellow book of the facility.

How to get a "residency letter" is different story and I believe that part is out of the scope of this group.

thanks, ya I have to get the residents letter at immigration. But if I haven't registered my location there is a fine.

, right.. do report TM30 as soon as possible. Depends on the immigration office, be aware some immigration offices wouldn't issue the residence certificate unless you submit a 90days report at least once.
