dear admin,
This year will be the first time I will try to get a one-year extention (non-O marriage), because my embassy doesn't give out multiple entry visas atm, which I normally use.
My question is about the timeline for that: If you need your money 'seasoned' in the bank for 2 months, and you need 1 month for the application proces, then you would have to have your money in the bank already on day 1 of your arrival in Thailand (or before).
As I don't have a Thai bank account yet, that would make it impossible for me.
Is that correct?
I assume it's not possible to get a 2-month extension of my single entry non-O family first, and then ask for the 1-year extension after that. Right?
If this is all true, then is there another option (my wife told me about another non-O option 'take care of child', instead of marriage)?
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is asking about the timeline and requirements for obtaining a one-year extension of stay with a Non-O marriage visa in Thailand, particularly regarding the need for 'seasoned' money in a Thai bank account. They are concerned about the necessity of having funds in the account before arrival if the money must be there for two months. They also inquire about the possibility of getting a shorter extension before applying for the full one-year extension and mention an alternative option related to family care.
