Attended Chon Buri immigration office today.

I originally arrived 8th December 21 on 60 day tourist visa.

They only give me the 30 extension at present as this must be done first before 60 day covid extension can be applied for.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user attended the Chon Buri immigration office to extend their stay in Thailand. They initially entered on a 60-day tourist visa and received a 30-day extension, which is necessary before applying for a 60-day COVID extension. Comments from other users confirm this process and raise questions about the necessity and eligibility for further COVID extensions now that restrictions have eased.

That's exactly what I did. 60day visa + 30 day extension. But are you sure I can apply again for covid extention? I thought that's finished as there is no need to stay in Thailand now. What reason do I need to give immigration?

TR visa supposedly still eligible for a single 60 day Covid extension. But only after 30 day extension first (at cost of 1900bht). As to whether it is granted or not - unsure. Reports of some ppl being denied a 60 day Covid extension, and getting the dreaded 7 day stamp
