I entered in mid-June with a 60-day tourist visa. As I understand, I can apply for a 30-days extension. But, I read that the 60-days covid-extension application is open until the September 27th.

What are my options to extend my stay at least until November?

If I apply for an extension now, I will get 30 days more from the stamp expiration date (that is, until mid-September). Then will I have to apply for the 60-days covid-extension?

Thanks!

TLDR : Answer Summary
After entering Thailand on a 60-day tourist visa, you can apply for a 30-day extension. It is advisable to apply for this extension first, allowing your stay to extend until mid-September. You can then take advantage of the 60-day COVID extension, which is available until September 27th, to further extend your stay until November.

You are correct. Get the 30 days extension you are entitled to...

Then before September 27th... Or before the end of the 30 days stamp...

Apply for the COVID extension.

!

I hope they won't change this decision by early September, as the option to stay here until late November affects my plans of moving between places.

They never pulled back on the 60 day extension of stay based on COVID-19; what they have been doing is adding more time to i.
