TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster inquired about the possibility of applying for another COVID extension after initially entering Thailand on a tourist visa, transitioning to an ED visa, and having received a prior COVID extension. Comments indicate that the rules regarding COVID extensions vary by immigration office, and strict adherence to the timelines of the program is necessary. Specifically, one comment suggests that extensions may not be valid from a Non-Immigrant visa type if applied after the deadline.

IF you went to the immigration office TODAY <-(the last day this current covid extension program runs) you MIGHT be able to

IF you wait until tomorrow, nope you can't. The new program says you cannot get a covid extension from a Non-Imm visa (of any type)

I don't think Tod is actually correct as the announcement in Thai referred to what visa you entered on, however it is still be interpreted so he could be correct so it's a good idea to do it today just in case

3 different ways the rule can be interpreted, 1) People who arrived on the given visas 2) people who switched to covid extensions from the given visas (Tod's interpretation) 3) people who are now seeking to switch from the given visas. I'm not sure which is correct so welll have to see

Could also be the case that different offices end up applying the rules differently and being stricter than others as we have seen with covid extensions

you went to a covid extension FROM an ED visa, so that is the last visa you had before you started on covid extensions.

The way I am reading the new program that starts tomorrow you would NOT be able to get another covid extension

I see a trip to your immigration office in your near future, and I'd say GO today and find out because if you wait to tomorrow and it IS the way I read it you are done with covid extensions

so that would leave you with two options

you either hustle on over to your immigration office today and try for another covid extension

OR

you prepare to depart the country when your current covid extension expires ๐Ÿ˜ฎ
