Hello,

My husband and kids travel on Cypriot passports. The local consulate advised that they should apply for visa before trip (35€) but if we stay less than 15 days they can get a Visa on arrival. But what is the cost of this visa on arrival for Cyprus passport? And is there immigration in Phuket airport that will give it? Thank you 😊

TLDR : Answer Summary
Cypriot passport holders can obtain a Visa on Arrival for 2000 baht (approximately 60€) at Phuket airport. This visa is available for stays less than 15 days. You can apply and pay for the visa at the airport's immigration office. Additionally, it is possible to pre-apply for this visa online to expedite the process upon arrival.

Cyprus doesn't use Evisa as such for 60 day tourist visas.

They are telling you to use the Online Evisa application in order to prepay to get a 15 day visa on arrival.

it's not for 60 days, it's for 30 days

you cannot do that. You can only pre-apply for a 15 day visa on arrival.

If you want a proper Thai visa, you need to go here.

You need to make an appointment. As it appears to be an Honorary consulate, they may no longer even be open anymore or even be allowed to issue visas.

I called that consulate and I spoke with the consul. He said we must apply for evisa because this is now all done online. That visa costs 35€ and is valid 30 days. We have done it before, so I don't have an issue with this. My question was how much is visa on arrival because they didn't know in consulate and my family is eligible for this kind of visa as long as we stay less than 15 days

There is no visa that is valid for 30 days. A tourist visa allows 60 days. For those countries that are allowed a visa exempt entry they get a free stamp for 30 days, but that’s not a visa. It’s just a stamp for 30 days. Cyprus isn’t on that list. You’d get 15 days on arrival by paying 2,000 baht for your visa.

thanks for your input. Yes, Cyprus is not exempt unfortunately. It's is however eligible for visa on arrival. Or regular visa, which the consulate told me to obtain on thaievisa.go.th.

Visa on arrival costs 2000 baht, the same price as every visa.

You will apply and pay at the airport. Every international airport has a location for this.

I believe you can also apply for visa on arrival online before you arrive to expedite the process upon arrival.

if they have evisa it'll be very easy. But generally yes it's cheaper to purchase the visa from the embassy/consulate.
