I carry a Maltese passport. I entered Thailand in mid January with a 60 day visa, which has expired. I am in Malaysia now but will have to enter Thailand again for my (April 18th) return flight to Malta. I am kindly asking knowledgable members help to suggest my best options.

TLDR : Answer Summary
As a Maltese passport holder, upon re-entering Thailand, you are eligible for a 15-day visa on arrival, which costs 2000 baht and is non-extendable. It is advised to enter Thailand after the 5th of the month to ensure you have enough time before your return flight to Malta.

enter after the 5th and you will have enough time because all Malta passports get is a 15 day visa on arrival for 2000baht when you stamp in.

You will have proof of onward travel when you enter so that shouldn't be a problem
