Dear members: My wife and her family are from Ethiopia and they are given 15 days. They would like to extend it for another 15 days if it’s possible. Is it possible to EXTEND their visas in Phuket? Thank you very much!

, if you want to try Covid extension for your family, you need to go to your local immigration office within 25 July <- which is the last day you can apply for Covid extension under the current program unless government announces the next program that we have no clue at all if they would do or not..

and they're not gonna go to any of the thai consulates nearby and get a 60 day tourist visa 😕

Ethiopia is on the list of countries that can take up to 6 weeks for visa processing or just outright can't apply 🙁

So they entered on Visa On Arrival. Unfortunately, VOA is not eligible for tourism extension of any number of days.

But currently, there is a possibility of Covid extension. They can try to apply for it within their current stamps. But if their application would be approved or not depends on the discretion o the immigration officer. If the applications are not approved, they get 7 days stamp to leave the Kingdom. Be ready with plan B to leave Thailand once.
