What is the best way to obtain a 30-day visa extension in Phuket for a UK citizen?
Hi I'm staying in ohuket for 65 days ( just over the 60 days allowed for a UK citizen) can anyone recommend the best way of getting the 30 day visa extension and what documents I will need to bring for this?
Answer summary
To extend your stay in Phuket for an additional 30 days, visit the immigration office when you have 45 days or less remaining on your current visa. Required documents include your passport, copies of the passport photo page and your entry stamp, a passport-sized photo, a filled TM30 form, and completed TM7, STM2, and STM9 forms, all available on-site. You can visit one of three offices: Phuket Town (busiest), Patong Beach (less busy), or Blue Tree office (least busy). It's advisable to prepare your documents in advance and arrive early.

In Phuket you can use one of the three immigration offices. Phuket Town - most busiest, Patong Beach - not so busy or Blue Tree office - least busy. All have photocopy or photo places onsite or nearby.
You’ll need your passport, a copy of the passport photo page, a copy of your entry stamp in to Thailand, a passport sized photograph, a filed TM30 and fill out the forms TM7, STM2 and STM9. All forms are available onsite. Use a blue or black pen.

My local photocopy shop knew exactly what I needed when I started to list what I wanted from them. Get it done early. You can download print and fill in the required form before you go too.

The best way is the ONLY way. Go to your immigration office to apply for an extension. In Phuket you can do it when you have 45 days or less left on your every stamp.
This is a general guideline of documents you'll need but it may vary from office to office.
