Hi! Is there any way to apply for a visa once I’m already in the country? As an Australian I have 30 days visa free but want to extend my stay, I’m unsure if I’m able to do that online or have to go to an immigration office. If so, where is best to go in Phuket?
TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, as an Australian, you can apply for a visa extension while in Thailand. You are eligible for a one-time 30-day extension at your local immigration office. This can be done at several locations in Phuket, including the Patong Beach office, Blue Tree water park office, or the main Phuket Town office. You will need to pay 1900 baht and provide a passport-sized photo, your passport, an appropriate application form, and your proof of residence. If you plan for a longer stay, such as applying for a NON-O visa, there are certain financial requirements based on age or marital status.
