TLDR : Answer Summary
When filing a TM 28 change of address in Phuket, it's important to note that the TM 30 form is typically required instead. The necessary documents include: 1. Completed TM 30 form to indicate your residence at the new address. 2. Copies of specific passport pages: detail page, current visa/extension if applicable, last entry stamp, and TM6 departure card. 3. Signed copies of the landlord's ID card/passport and the house book. 4. A rental agreement or documentation from the land owner if applicable. Additionally, if the foreigner registers the address without the landlord, a Power of Attorney letter with a 10 Baht tax stamp may be needed. However, personal experiences suggest that only the TM 30 form might be requested, as immigration might not strictly enforce the TM 28 filing.

Ok, to sum up. Either I or the landlord can file the TM 30 within 24 hours of moving in and no TM 28 required in Phuket. Correct?

David Broadfoot dont believe it, they wouldn't even look at my tm 28 yesterday>>>

Richard,if u file it, the landlord doesn't need to>

Its supposed to be the landlord responsibility but they put it on us,the renter as we are the ones they fine..

I'm getting confused. I read somewhere here that I had 28 days to file the TM28 ?
Dick **********
David Broadfoot , yes I did that as well the last time I was at the immigration in Phuket town..

So you are saying the TM30 is filed twice? Once by the landlord and then by me within 28 days?

@Richard *******
that TM 28 is not used, doesn't implement that the documents mentioned by the administrater aren't necessary. Be sure the id card and the tambiem baan copies are signed in original by the landlord

Really? So do I have to do anything after the landlord files the TM30?

Most likely also the TM30 form that you stay at that address: Completely filled in proof of residence application form.

Copies from following passport pages:

Detail page

Current visa/extension (if applicable)

Last entry stamp

TM6 departure card

Signed Copy of Land owner ID card/passport

Signed copy of house book

Signed copy of rental agreement or land owner company paper if applicable.

Power of Attorney letter with 10 Baht tax stamp attached in case the foreigner does the address registration himself without the landlord.
