What do I need to return to my Non-O marriage visa in Thailand if my tourist visa is about to expire?

My tourist visa is expiring (long story) and I need to get back on my Non-O marriage. I moved my money out of Thailand and I will move the 400k back in, however my visa expires next week and I already extended it once. I read on another forum that Savanakhet wants to see the bank funds (400K) but it is not mandatory to have it in for 2 months. Could anybody possibly confirm this or give me any other advice?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual needs to transition from a tourist visa to a Non-O marriage visa as their tourist visa is near expiration. They plan to deposit 400,000 THB back into their bank account but are unsure about the time requirement for the funds. Community comments indicate that while some offices may not require the 400k to be seasoned for the initial 3-month Non-O visa, Savanakhet typically demands proof of 3 months of bank statements for a one-year visa. However, there are reports of individuals receiving a single-entry visa without showing proof of funds, particularly if they have their spouse with them.

You can get the single entry non-o at Savannahkhet without showing the funds. Then make sure your funds have been in the account long enough before you go for the one year extension within country.

That would be perfect. Are you postive they will issue a single entry without the proof? I plan to bring my wife as well, I heard sometimes that helps.

Yes the two foreigner men in front of me in line this past week did that when they didn’t have the proof of funds for the multi entry. Make sure you have all the other paperwork in order, including the Kor Ror 2 and 3.

Savannakhet you need prove NOW of minimum 3 month bank statements ,,,no exceptions

At Savanakhet they told me when i asked they need 3 months worth of statement but that was for the 1 year multi entry.

But someone reported after they did without it being there for 3 months but they never answered whether they got the 90 day visa or the one year

The 90 day single entry Non-O does not require proof of funds only the 12 month multi-entry since last month

Savannakhet changed their requirements as of lately. You now need the 400,000.- THB financial proof for the multi entry Non-Imm-O family. However you can get the 90-days single entry Non-imm-O Family visa without the financial proof

For the initial 3 month non-o the 400k does not need to be seasoned at most offices I believe. It simply needs to be in the bank on the day you apply. The seasoning is for the 1 year extension. So you may want to check with the immigration office that serves your area. You may be able to avoid having to leave the country.

he can't apply for the "change of visa type" from a tourist visa to a 90 days Non-Imm-O visa, because for this process, one needs to have a minimum of 15 days left on his stay permit. Which he does not have any more and he also already blew the 30 days extension. He might be able to do the "change" from out of a 60-days "family visit extension". This he needs to inquire at his immigration office. In case they deny, all that is left is a new 60 days tourist visa in one of the neighbouring countries, or the 90 days Non-Imm-O in Savannakhet

If you are in fact married to a Thai, then get your bt400k back in your account, then apply for a visiting family visa. That will give you the extra 60 days you need, if you get the money back in your account immediately.
