hey everyone, I just got my covid extension visa. here are the details if anyone wonders.

* I entered Thailand with a 30-day visa, then I extended it for another 30 days and finally I got another 60 days with the covid extension.

* They gave 60 days from my last visa date. so I have about 40 days now

* While appliying the covid extension, I did not get a letter from the embassy and left the "Reason to stay" part blank.

the only problem is I forgot to ask if I need to come back for the 90 days notification thing, does anyone know if I need to do that?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user shared their experience regarding the COVID extension visa process in Thailand, detailing their visa history and inquiring about the necessity of a 90-day notification after receiving an extension. The discussion revealed mixed opinions on whether it's necessary to report, with some users stating it's dependent on the office and others citing no requests for the report based on previous experiences. In the end, the user received confirmation that no 90-day notification was required for their situation.

if anyone wonders, I tried to apply to it online but I got an error message that says something like "90 day notification is not required if I stay less than a year" then I went to the immigration office and they said the same thing. I stayed 4 months in total and left Thailand as of yesterday and no one asked me anything about it.

i have been in thailand continuously since 2020 applying only covid extensions in jomtien, no one has ever asked me for the 90 days report. I would like to know in which office is an officer so idiotic as to request the 90 day report even though you report your address every 60 days

I wasn’t requested to do it, but was told by friends on Koh Phangan, where I did my extensions, and knew of people getting fined even though they went in for extensions. I noticed it was stated in my prior Visa extension stamp too.

Yes you will still have to do the 90 day report

You've seen them every 30 days and now will see them in 40, so why would you need to do a 90-day report? So, no.

the 2000 went towards their coffee fund BUT it could be a quirk of that particular office as the Stuart stated earlier

That’s office dependent. Some ask some don’t. Best to ask yours for their policy.
