What are the recommended time frames for a visa run or border bounce when leaving Thailand?

Now as far as how long to be out of the country on a "Border Bounce" there is no real rule. SOME borders want you to stay OUT of thailand 24 hours (meaning you get a hotel in the country you're bouncing with and stay there overnight), BUT some don't.

Post on a group related to where you stay in thailand asking people in that area for recommendations for a service that will take you to the border, make sure you get out and back the same day and then bring you back to where ever you are.

It is FAR safer to use a service to bounce out and back, than thinking you're going to "save a baht or two" and try to bounce yourself

I ask that question because it sounds more to me like you're just wanting to do a 'Border Bounce' not a 'Visa Run' 😕

Here's the difference

𝐕𝐈𝐒𝐀 𝐑𝐔𝐍 <- where you 𝗥𝗨𝗡 to a thai consulate in another country and APPLY for a visa to thailand, wait until it's approved, then come back to thailand to get stamped in on that visa

𝐁𝐎𝐑𝐃𝐄𝐑 𝐁𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐂𝐄 <- where you go to the border, stamp out of thailand, 𝗕𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗖𝗘 in&out of another country, then stamp right back into thailand to get a new free entry stamp (or to activate another entry on a currently valid visa)
