Anyone done a border run to KL recently? Any issues?
Any issues with staying just 1 night before flying back? Or better to do 2 or 3?

TLDR : Answer Summary
Several users shared their experiences with border runs to Kuala Lumpur, highlighting that there were generally no problems encountered during their travels. Important preparations include having proof of funds (20,000 Baht), a departure flight booking, and a hotel reservation, although one traveler noted that they were not asked for these documents during their trip. The consensus seems to suggest that staying just one night before flying back is acceptable.

I just flew to KL last week to do a border bounce.
I left Phuket on 8.10am Airasia flight and returned same day at 6.15pm on Airasia again.
No questions.
No request to show 20k or covid documents.
Just straight through at both ends with no issues other than how to kill 7hrs in an airport.

I think you will have no problems. Just be prepared to show the requisite 20K Baht, Departure Flight Booking, and Hotel Reservation.
