Does anyone know for a fact that you have to stay overnight in Malaysia when doing a border-run with Non-B multi visa?

Is it the same for land crossing (specifically Satun border) and flying (K-L)?

Thanks in advance

TLDR : Answer Summary
The requirement to stay overnight in Malaysia during a border run with a Non-B multi visa varies by border crossing. Specific experiences indicate that it's not a universal rule; for example, it may be necessary at certain Cambodia/Thai and Malaysia/Thai borders. Researching the specific border can provide clarity, with some individuals opting to stay overnight at locations like Langkawi and others encountering no issues.

by opening and reading the links it is a 2 denied, 1 no problem score.

Today a friend of a friend changed from land border in Satun to boat to Langkawi to stay there a night.

I would say, prepare yourserlf.

It is totally 100% dependent on THAT specific border crossing. It is NOT a universal rule by any means.

It seems prevalent with some of the Cambodia/Thai borders AND some of the Malaysia/Thai borders.

My advice to people is GOOGLE the border you're thinking of bouncing out and back in at <- That action is what is making them keep people in the neighboring country for 24 hours.
