Hi, If anyone has any advice/knowledge re Burma, I'm thinking of heading to Yangon/Rangoon for a 60-day visa this month. The Embassy website includes these two requirements
4. invitation letter (if any)
5. confirmed round trip air ticket or hotel reservation/accommodation reference (for travelling through border)
I assume 4. is irrelevant for me: iIm in Thailand now on a 30- day entry stamp. Re 5., does this merely refer to my return air ticket back to Thailand from Rangoon or a ticket out of Thailand. And/or does 'accommodation reference' mean I should have a hotel reservation in Hua Hin to show them or something else? I'm a bit confused and now understand each consulate has different requirements. THANKS IN ADVANCE for any clarification. It's very easy to book a hotel through hotels.com to present if that's all that's required. It appears that it's ONE or the other: ticket or reservation/accommodation. I am now in a condo here but have no documentation/lease etc.
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks clarification on the necessary requirements for a 60-day visa to Myanmar from Thailand, specifically about the invitation letter and travel documentation needed, such as proof of an onward flight or hotel reservation. Comments suggest that for the visa application, a round trip ticket back to Thailand is often sufficient, and while a hotel booking may be beneficial, it is not strictly enforced. Additionally, proof of funds may be required.
