Greetings,

I am from EURO, Italy.

I am supposed to go to Laos by land at the end of this month (2nd exempt visa expires on the 30th) to apply for a single-entry tourist visa. This is the first time applying for a tourist visa at a Thai embassy in a neighboring country.

As I am, currently, applying for a teaching position at a school in BKK, but I need more time for them to process my docs for a non-B visa, etc.; how can I manage the documents required for the 'single-entry' tourist visa knowing that I will continue staying in Thailand?!

5. Travel itinerary to and from Thailand and accommodation e.g. plane/train/bus ticket, hotel booking, letter from whom you will be staying with and a signed copy of his/her ID

How did you guys manage point no. 5?

Also, the trip from BKK to Laos, accommodation, etc

If there is anyone who has any recent personal experience, please, message me in Messenger.

Otherwise, if it is too much of a hassle to get through it by myself, I may have to opt to travel there with a visa company.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks advice on applying for a single-entry tourist visa at a Thai embassy in Laos while currently residing in Thailand. They need to provide proof of travel arrangements as part of the visa application and inquire about how others have successfully managed this requirement. A comment suggests purchasing an onward ticket as proof of leaving Thailand, highlighting that embassies require this documentation regardless of the user's plans to apply for another visa.

Proof of leaving Thailand is a very common requirement for a tourist visa. You either buy a ticket out of Thailand to show as proof or use an onward travel website who will purchase a ticket and let you use it for your application.

The embassy doesn't care that you will be applying for a different visa. And most likely you're going to be leaving Thailand again to apply for your non-B since 99% of companies cannot or will not provide the large amount of paperwork required to convert to a non-B inside of Thailand.
