Hey there,

I'm in Australia and I'm submitting my Tourist Visa application tomorrow to come to Thailand on 23rd July for 60-90 days.

The application seem's simple, however there's two requirements I have questions about:

1. Required Document*:"Confirmed accommodation under your name for the duration of your stay in Thailand" *

I haven't chosen my accommodation yet, and I plan to stay at multiple places. Since I want to submit this application tomorrow, what should I do?

1. Required Document:*"Copy of an airline ticket indicating the date of arrival to and departure from Thailand"*

I haven't yet decided on my departure date, so I'm yet to book this. Is it really needed?

Really appreciate your assistance here :)

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is applying for a Thailand Tourist Visa from Australia and has questions about the required documents, specifically regarding accommodation and flight tickets. They plan to stay in multiple places and haven't booked their return flight yet. Based on community responses, it's suggested that a confirmed address for the first 7 days may suffice for accommodation, and a rough departure date should be acceptable instead of a booked ticket. Contacting the embassy directly for clarification is also recommended.

Thanks everyone. Called Sydney, they mentioned the above aren't necessary. As long as there is a rough departure date (no flight number needed) and accomodation for 7 days, it will be fine.

1. Buy an open ended flight (many flights can have the return date rescheduled-speak to the airline about how longer notice needs to be given)

2. It shouldn't be a problem to book accommodation online which offers free cancellation and provide this address until. It might be easier to stay in the accommodation a night or 2 before moving to your partners.

Are you applying through Sydney or Canberra? Yes it makes a difference, in Sydney someone will answer the phone, in Canberra you will get a message only. Although Canberra are reasonably responsive to emails.

Be sure you are checking the right information from the embassy/consulate you are applying at. Either Canberra or Sydney doesn't seem to have full accommodation requirements (sorry if I missed)

As these document are asked at the Thai Embassy where you apply, the best option you have it to contact them and ask the same questions with the same explanation.

With this visa you get a maximum of 90 days, to be prepared to leave before 91 days after arrival.
