Be aware that there are false tourist visa's around from Yangon Myanmar. In stead of the sticker, they use a stamp, the text has a mistake. it is NOT must be utilized but ULILISED. It is not known of these visa's come directly from the Embassy or made by visa agents.

Vientiane has no requirements for proof of funds, proof of onward travel or proof of a hotel booking

You could be asked for proof of funds 20K baht in the bank, proof of onward travel and proof of a hotel booking so be prepared because I know people who were
