TLDR : Answer Summary
To obtain a 60-day Thai Tourist Visa in Yangon, you will typically need to provide several key documents. It is advisable to be prepared with proof of funds (around 20,000 baht), proof of onward travel, and a hotel booking. There are reports of false tourist visas being issued, characterized by a stamp rather than a sticker, so exercise caution. Additionally, check the official Thai embassy website for the latest information and any updates regarding the application process.

Be aware that there are false tourist visa's around from Yangon Myanmar. In stead of the sticker, they use a stamp, the text has a mistake. it is NOT must be utilized but ULILISED. It is not known of these visa's come directly from the Embassy or made by visa agents.

Has anyone tried getting the visa with just a hotel booking? I note that it says a flight ticket OR hotel booking if traveling overland...
