Hi all,

A couple of quick questions for 60 day SE tourist visas, it's been a while since my last so apologies if obvious!

Firstly, providing details of outbound flight, does this need to be within the 60 days? Or can it be within 90? Given I intend on extending for 30 days.

Secondly, can anyone clarify what these two lines highlighted on the form mean specifically?

And lastly, is there an ATM anywhere in DMK before coming through immigration?

For reference, I'm Australian and will be visiting the embassy in Yangon.

Thanks guys!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses questions related to applying for a 60-day SE tourist visa for Thailand, specifically from the Thai embassy in Yangon. Key points include whether an outbound flight needs to be within 60 days or can extend to 90 days (noting the intention to extend the visa), clarifications on certain form requirements (suggesting to leave some fields blank), and the availability of ATMs at DMK airport before immigration. Community comments share personal experiences and advice, emphasizing that proof of funds and hotel bookings may not always be required, and it is generally advised to leave highlighted form fields blank.

While this is only anecdotal information (meaning it might or might NOT apply to your case) an auzzie friend of mine was just at the thai consulate in Yangon last week, he was not asked for proof of funds, proof of onward travel OR proof of a hotel booking. All they wanted to see was his ticket back to thailand in a few days.

As I said, it might be like that for you OR it might not and they could ask for everything on the website.

The upside is that consulate is NOT busy at all

Do remember you need a visa to get into Burma BEFORE you fly out, (either an e-visa or one from the burmese consulate)

Fair enough. I'm going to be fully prepared though, as I've had previous tourist visas as well as a one year Non B (and work permit).

Already obtained the e-visa, was approved in 12 minutes. Lucky I didn't bother paying for express processing lol

Our flight needed to be withing 60days as visa is originally for 60days thats what guy told us when we were doing ours in Bali.

Leave blank.

And no , no atm. they accept all major currencies. if u asking for 20K money.

Figured that was the case... Would prefer to book for 90 days as I've actually got travel planned for then. Plus, my 60 days will be up just after New Years so not keen on paying the excessive holiday surcharges on top of changing my flights!

@Tyson *******
the consulates usually are flexible on the proof of onward travel and allow it within 60 to 90 days because they know you can get an extension for 30 days..

just a month ago.

probably depends 🤷‍♀️

When did you do yours in Bali? I’ve heard others saying they were able to have outbound flights at 90 days. Probably depends on officer.

No need to put a guarantor unless they ask specifically. I didn't even put one with a non-immigrant visa.

No ATM before Immigration.

1. All

2. Name of the hotel or place you gonna stay

You should also keep in mind, to book a flight or give proof to leave country within 60 days, not 90. If you have no visa, it is supposed, at entry to stay 2 months either! This is more a problem if checking in on your outbound flight to Thailand. They not often reason, that technically you can stay 3 months, without leaving the country. Book a ticket on rent a ticket 24 hour before you land in Thailand.

I'll have a place I'm staying in Yangon, and can probably arrange details if need be. Just wondering if that's what was asked. I can understand the need for one in Thailand, but not so much a country I'm spending less than a week.

i have done it from Cambodia, embassy told leave this one and mentioned . If you are on tourist visa
Nikolina *******
Best thing is leaving blank. If they want it filled out they will say.

and usually there is a example paper there. so anybody can check before giving it out

@Alok *******
and you know this is how the thai consulate in yangon wants the application?
Alok ********
No 2. Leave blank .

Hotel address only mention in proposed address column.
