What are the time parameters for someone with a non-imm O (spouse dependent visa) to do the 1-year extension of stay after entering?

Consequently, if someone were to enter on the visa and then leave before doing the 1 year extension, can they get a re-entry permit for that visa? (given that its only single entry?).

Thank you.

TLDR : Answer Summary
To extend a Non-Imm O (spouse dependent) visa for one year, you must apply before the initial 90-day admitted period expires. If you leave Thailand within these 90 days, you can obtain a re-entry permit to return on the same visa.

Understood. But there IS a timeframe within the 90 days within which you must apply for the 1 year extension. Do you know what it is?

Yes - thank you! Do you know what it is for Chaeng Wattana?

many immigration offices allow you to apply for an extension when your current admitted to stay period is less than 30days, some allow you with in 45days left, some let you do 15days or less left.

Is this the answer for your 'timeframe" matter?

Your visa was a Single Entry and on entry you got a new stamp with the date of arrival and an Admitted Until date 90 days later. If you like to leave Thailand and come back within this 90 day period you can buy the re-entry permit and on return you get the same admitted until date stamped in your passport

There is no 1 list fits all of the more than 70 Immigration Offices and there is a difference between being dependent on your spouse with a temporary stay inside Thailand or depending on spouse working inside Thailand. Best option visit your local Immigration Office and ask the hand out with the requirements
