Pls admin , let me request advice for me.

Dear My Colleagues in Group, My Son's Passport was soaked and damaged inside the washing machine, the stamps and valid VISA (Non-O) were destroyed. He will received new Passport from Embassy in few days. We would like to process the transfer or restamping of VISA (Non-O) at Immigration Division (1) at Chang Watthana -BKK in coming week.

Pls let me have guidance and advice about how to process ? What are required Documents ? and any information helpful for me (e.g- at that immigration office which counter should I start, what step to do, etc... ???) .

Thanks so much indeed for all colleagues giving advice and guidance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is seeking advice on processing the transfer or restamping of their son's Non-O visa after his passport was damaged in a washing machine. They plan to visit the Immigration Division (1) in Chang Watthana and are asking for guidance on required documents and the procedure to follow. Comments provide insights about necessary documents such as both current and new passports, a TM30 form, and potentially a letter from the embassy. It is advised to go to the same counter that issued the extension and to be aware of the possibility that damaged passports may not be returned by the embassy.

You go to counter, get a passport transfer form and take the copies of old and new passport ... They might ask your embassy to confirm its damaged but not a big deal as you're old passport and visa is on the computer.

Another issue is, in some cases if the passport is damaged, the embassy will not return it to you. I had this happen when my picture page got wet. I was able to fly home with it but was told when arriving home (Canada) by immigration to replace with a new passport as I would not be able to fly out with the current one. I went and had a new one reissued and marked on the paperwork "please return old passport" and was informed this option is not available when passport is deemed damaged. I lost my visas.

I hope this is not the case with you, but just a heads up.

Good luck.

The OP asked about ED and dependant visas for their children a couple years ago, appears to be from Myanmar.

good sleuthing (y) If they're on an extension they can go to the office that issued it and get the stamps recovered to the new passport.

The REAL question is, was your son on the 90 day entry from the Non-O VISA or were they already on an "extension of stay"?

AND

If they are on the 90 day entry stamp from the Non-O did they get the visa in their country before they came here OR did they get it issued inside the country after they were here?

You go to the counter that issued your son's extension at Chaengwattana. Bring both passports, TM30, and the embassy letter if your embassy still issues one. The Immigration Office would know which embassies are still issuing and which are not.

You cannot make an appointment to transfer stamps.

Ellie, the OP says a valid visa was destroyed. Would they not have to go to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to try and get the visa reinstated?

, thanks, I misunderstood OP is on an extension already. If he is still on the original 90 days from Non-O visa, I'm not sure the correct procedures.

@Lloyd *******
likely just the arrival and/or permission to stay stamp? Maybe the OP can tell us what type of non O, where they got it, and if the son is on an extension or the original visa?
