TLDR : Answer Summary
The user accidentally damaged their passport containing a retirement visa and a multi-entry visa stamp in the washing machine. They are seeking advice on whether they need to obtain a new passport and the procedure for transferring their visa stamps to the new passport. A comment suggests contacting the HM Passport Office in the UK and using the expedited service to get a new passport, then traveling with both the old and new passports for visa transfer.

About all you could do is contact HMPC in the UK and see what they say.

NO ONE on here can tell you if it'll be okay or not comin' back ๐Ÿ˜• The last thing you need is to wing your way here and get denied entry. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

I'd say while you're back there use the expedited passport service and get a new passport then fly in with BOTH the old and the new. They'll stamp you in on the new one and then you'll go to the immigration office to get the stamps moved.

That would be my advice.

I've seen some pretty rough passports get thru without issue and I've seen ones with just a little damage be denied so it's really hard to say. IF your data page is not damaged and your extension stamp is good and the re-entry is at least semi-readable you should be okay, BUT again, I'm just guessing.

Good luck with it, (y)

yes like I said in my post the retirement stamp is clear and readable, the photo page is good too,but the multi entry visa is not so good,ie dates in readable,I think like you say I don't want to get all the way to Thailand and be denied entry I'm not gonna risk it and get a new passport
