Hi. I recently renewed my son's passport. I need to have the visas transferred from his old passport to new passport.

1. Do I need to book an online appointment for this? What category of appointment ( eg extension of visa?)?

2. Does my son need to come with me to immigration?

3. What else do I need apart from old passport, new passport and letter from embassy?

Thanks in advance

TLDR : Answer Summary
To transfer visas from an old passport to a new one in Thailand, you generally need to visit the immigration office with your son, as they may require his presence. An online appointment may be necessary, typically under categories related to visa extensions or passport services. Bring photocopies of the old passport's photo and visa pages, the new passport's photo page, and a letter from the embassy. Some immigration offices may also ask for a TM30 form.

Photocopies of old passport picture and visa pages, photocopies of new passport picture page. Letter from embassy. Some immigration offices might require a copy of TM30 as well.

Depends on the office but generally they’ll want photocopies of your old passport and visa/extension plus a copy of your new passport. Along with the letter from the embassy. They’ll ask you to fill in a form there. There should be no charge.

Billy Brown the "holidays" in America you know in advance so nothing stopping you booking on non holiday days. I flew back and forthto usa last nov. Booked months in advance and got a good price. Simple.

Billy Brown then if you suspect prices will rise you'll book now. Like many people who fly in, if you know it'll be in 3 months time you book straight away.

Billy Brown not successful booking? Surely booking a flight months in advance isn't that difficult.
