Today I have extended my Non Immigrant OA for a further 12 months in Chiang Mai. I am Australian. I used the letter of income I obtained in November last year in which I declared income obtained by me from commercial loans made to a company / business in Australia, together with a letter from the borrower confirming the terms of the loan and the repayments made to me.

No Bank Documents or other evidence relating to any money’s coming from outside Thailand was asked for. The whole process took less than 30 minutes including waiting time.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user shared their experience of extending their Non Immigrant OA visa for another 12 months in Chiang Mai, Australia. They used a previously obtained income letter, confirming income from commercial loans, along with a borrower’s confirmation letter. Surprisingly, no additional bank documents were requested, and the entire process was completed in under 30 minutes. Comments included inquiries about the immigration office's location and clarification about the extension conditions and required income verification for subsequent years.

Did you get an extension of stay for twelve months, is that what you mean.

Your letter of income would still be valid, they are good for six months. My understanding is Australia is one of the four embassies that no longer gives out letters of income, so you will have to plan for next year. Either ฿800,000 in a Thai Bank, or ฿65,000 deposited into your Thai Bank every month, not an average, but ฿65,000 every month.
