TLDR : Answer Summary
To renew your OA visa in Thailand, you cannot technically 'renew' a visa since they expire; instead, you must apply for a yearly extension at your local immigration office. Requirements for this extension include having health insurance from one of the approved Thai insurance companies, maintaining at least 800,000 baht in your bank account for two months prior to application, and other related criteria.

You aren't gonna "renew" anything. Visas run out, AND entry stamps from visas run out.
What you would do is apply for a yearly extension at the immigration office where you live based on you holding an O-A visa/entry
You would need to be insured by one of the 15 approved thai insurance companies that can issue the 40K/400K out/in patient policy and you would need to show 800K baht in a thai bank account in your name only for 2 months before you apply for the year extension.
yes you can visit your home land, you just go to your immigration office, file a TM8 and get a re entry permit (can be a single entry for 1k baht or a multiple for 3.8k baht). There's no limit to the amount of yearly extensions you can do as long as you comply with all the requirements (proof of funds in a Thai bank, insurance,, and so on)
there are people here that have completed decades of extension of stays, so yes it can be done many times. You can leave any time you like. You get a re-entry permit at the airport before you depart. Or, you simply get a multiple entry extension.

Clause 22 states retirement ages of 60 and 55. I thought it was 50 to be eligible?
