Can a non-OA immigrant visa obtained in my home country only be extended for 1 year while in Thailand or can you keep getting extensions?

once you get the two years of stay out of the OA visa like most people you can apply for a yearly extension, and keep doing it year after year as long as you meet the requirements

once you get the year extension you can then by a re-entry permit that is good for that year

you will need to meet the financial requirements to deposit 800,000 Thai baht in a THAI Bank account in your name only in order to obtain the one year extension of stay as OA based retirement in Thailand and the proof of the health insurance policy required for the OA based retirement visa.

Visit your local Thai Immigration office for their full list of requirements for the one year extension of stay.
