DTV Extension Questions:

1) When is the earliest possible time that someone can extend the DTV by another 6 months?

2) Can I get the DTV and then immediately go to extend it by 6 months at immigration, or do I have to wait a certain time?

3) Have there been any credible sources (actual person who did it already) as proof that it costs 1900 or 10000 THB to extend?

Thank you 🙏

Hi, seeking clarification before we head out.

We are about to apply for our 30 day extension, it been a few years since we have done one and not sure where we need to go. Is it still in the IT Square Laksi Plaza?

Also, does the 30 days apply from the date on the samp in your passport or is it 30 days from the date you apply? I seem to recall reading here that it's 30 days from the stamp in your passport. Just checking.

Thanks for your help.

I visited Khon Kaen Immigration today to apply for my first one year extension on my Non-O (Marriage) visa. My current visa was due to expire on the 7th Feb, however I've been told to go back on the 9th March, (as seen in the photo). No problem with doing that, just found it a bit strange though, as in effect I won't actually have a visa for over a month. I'm assuming this is normal?

I will get my non o visa stamp early July, which will be valid for 90 days. I understand that I can then apply for the 12 month extension based on retirement 30 days before the non o visa expires. Do you get the extension stamp put in your passport the same day you put the TM7 application form and docs in (as with just a 30 day extension) or do you have to go back to immigration again a few days before the non o visa expires to get the stamp? Thanks very much

Can someone shed their experience in getting the covid extension at Chaengwattana? Do they always require TM 30? And do they only give you a consideration stamp, and you have to return for permanent?

Hey folks,

I’m on a 60 day TR visa (exp. May 27th), and got a 30 day extension on top of that today, and now I hear May 24th will be the last chance to apply for covid extension. My question is: Can I apply for covid extension before the 24th, even if I go to the immigration office while still in my initial 60 days?

Thanks!

Sharing recent experience with Covid extension in Phuket.

I arrived on an APEC entry in September last year. I have had 2 previous Covid extensions as I genuinely cannot return to Hong Kong as it is almost impossible to secure government approved quarantine accommodation.

The Chinese Embassy cannot assist me in any way as I am not a Chinese citizen (UK Passport and HK Permanent Resident), so no possibility of a letter, or even a letter to say they cannot give me a letter.

I had been previously told by the same office, under the order that ended 25 March, that an APEC entry could not be extended. The current order refers to Tourist visas and Non-Immigrant visas. APEC is more of a limbo visa since it is neither of these but has characteristics of both.

I went the day before applying to enquire, and after explaining my situation and a bit of to-and-froing between officers, I was told that I could apply.

The TM30 printout from my hotel that I had used successfully for the last 2 applications was unacceptable. I was told that they needed the screen print of the yellow page with my record, but the officer messaged my hotel and said she would ask them to send the format she needed and handed me back what the hotel had given me.

My application was accepted and 24 hours later I had my 60 day extension. Unlike before, there was no under consideration stamp.
