Hello everyone! Do you know if Thai embassies (specifically the one in Madrid, Spain) accept plane tickets within 90-day periods to fulfil the requirements for multiple-entry 6-month visas? I'd like to get a METV and stay for 60 days + 30 days extension, then fly out, then 60 + 30 again, and fly out and back in before the METV expires, if it's possible. Thanks in advance.

Ok now I understand, I thought every tourist visa worked the same way. All cleared. So beholding it is a bit difficult to keep in touch with them, try at the embassy and see what happen... good luck and tell us how it was!

, is saying about the METV is that it's valid for unlimited entries for 6 months from the date it's issued.

IF she applies for it too early, she'll lose the time the visa is valid before she gets here and she won't get the full time out of it. It's not like a single entry tourist visa that's valid for 90 days and as long as you get here before that date you get stamped in for 60 days.

 That's what I understood from the embassy's website: "El visado turista de Entrada MULTIPLE, podrá ser utilizado durante los 6 meses siguientes a su expedición" [METV can be used within 6 months after being issued].

 a mi me tardo para la SETV 4 dias. Lo que no sabia era que la METV te contaba desde que la expedias y no desde que entrabas al pais. Estas segura de eso? Normalmente para visas de turista son 3 meses de validez sin necesidad de entrar

 Sip, pero digamos que, viendo la velocidad de respuesta de esta embajada y que solo reciben mensajería de 10 a 13 h, no me fío mucho, y tampoco quiero pedir el visado con mucha antelación, porque entra en vigor desde la fecha de expedición y son días que pierdes de estancia en Tailandia... Gracias! :)

 Yep, vivo fuera y pensaba ir en persona a Madrid, pero ya para tramitar el visado. Así que creo que daré por hecho lo de los 90 días, cruzaré los dedos y llevaré mi mejor sonrisa cuando vaya. 😅

 que va, llame incontables veces, y directamente el robot no me daba ni la opcion de ponerme en espera, colgaba... y los emails mas de lo mismo... lo ideal seria personarte alli o enviar a alguien que viva en Madrid, pero entiendo que puede ser imposible

 ¡Hola! No, pone que la estancia máxima permitida en Tailandia es de 60 días ininterrumpidos por cada entrada, pero no dice nada sobre las extensiones una vez allí. Ese es el tema, que en los requisitos del SETV especifican que la estancia puede ser de 90 días con la extensión (para los billetes), pero en los requisitos del METV no dicen nada sobre esto, por eso ando preguntando, por si alguien con METV se ha visto en las mismas y puede orientarme... Thanks!

Creo que si se puede hacer lo que dices. Para la expedicion de la SETV, en la parte correspondiente pone algo asi como que si el vuelo de salida excede de los 60 dias, queda enteramente bajo tu responsabilidad extender o entraras en overstay. De todas formas, pone que los vuelos de salida tengan que ser en un plazo de 60 dias desde la llegada??

Hi Robert! Yes, in this part: "Es IMPRESCINDIBLE demostrar que posee al menos billetes de dos entradas y dos

salidas. (a utilizar en 6 meses desde la expedición del visado)." We need 2 entry tickets and 2 outward tickets. What I wonder is if there can be 90 days between each entry and exit, because I'd like to book the tickets this week and nobody at the embassy is answering my messages...
