Hey everybody! I am in Vientiane after I was told I had to come here a few days ago to get my stamp for my Ed Muay Thai visa .. the day I left, they told me I might need to have 6 months of bank statements and then I questioned them further and they said never mind that’s Vietnam and I should be fine ….

Now I’m just curious if I will actually need them and what happens if I don’t have them? Will I be denied? I disperse most my incoming and pull out whatever is left in cash so I definitely do not meet the minimum but would my consistent income count if I printed out my statements anyway because I can definitely show that and it’s well over the minimum.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user in Vientiane is seeking clarification on the financial documentation needed for their Ed Muay Thai visa. Despite being initially advised they may need six months of bank statements, another input suggests this is not typical for this visa type. Contributors emphasize the importance of having the correct documentation, including confirmation from the gym about necessary paperwork and financial evidence. Overall, it remains uncertain whether the user's income statements would suffice, highlighting potential challenges if required documents are not provided.

As you wont be working they need to see evidence of funds in an instant access account to support yourself for the full time of the visa.

If you dont have the correct paperwork, ur chances of getting the visa are slim to none

thanks so do you know what correct paperwork will suffice? All I see on their website is “Evidence of tuition fee payment and funding eg. bank statement” that’s not very clear to me as a first timer. Is a bank statement just an example? What else could I use? Is bank statement of income fine? Etc.

understand that those at the embassies, and at immigration profile, and stereotype. If you fall into these profiles they will pay special attention to you, and mostly when you try to enter the country, not at the embassy. You can be issued a visa by the embassy, and still be refused entry if you fit certain profiles. A nice haircut, and dressed in nice clean clothes, without carrying a backpack, only a suitcase, is your best look. The school gave you what you need. Don't stress about that. Just make sure you make an appointment online for the Vientiane embassy, as they don't allow walk-ins anymore.

The Gym should've given you the required paperwork to get the ED visa at Vientiane and made an appointment for you. I dont believe there's any financial requirements for that visa.

they didn’t make the appointment but they did give me a huge packet. They did also message me though like I said in the post so I’m all jumbled 😵‍💫

The list of requirements is on the Vientiane Thai embassy web site

seen that. “Evidence of tuition fee payment and funding eg. bank statement” that’s not very clear to me as a first timer. And bank statement is prefaced as an example unless I’m mistaken? Do you possibly know what else could stand in its place?

I don't to be honest but I read that as having evidence you've either paid the tuition fee or show you have the means to do so. I thought the police report from your home country might be more of an obstacle to be fair.
