For those that go with the soft power options (Muay Thai training in particular), how do you get with the gym to have them creating the docs for you? Do you fly to Thailand to pay them directly, or can it somehow be done online prior to your flying there?

TLDR : Answer Summary
To arrange for Muay Thai training and the necessary documentation for a visa, you can handle the process online before traveling to Thailand. Many gyms offer guidance and can prepare the required documents via email. Payment can often be made through services like Wise (formerly TransferWise). It is advisable to contact the gym directly through their website or contact forms for specific instructions and support.

Check out this link w FitFac Muaythai in Bangkok. Explains the process pretty well, and they have been responding to my questions. I'm still getting the funds in my account, for a few months, before I purchase from them. Lots of locations in Bangkok.

Very thorough, but the big question is... how much will the classes cost?? It must be expensive, otherwise they would have stated the pricing (?)

good question. It is a nicer gym, air-conditioned, many bkk locations and geared toward the beginner. They also allow weight training for DTV. All training is 1:1 personal training. DTV package is 45 sessions for ฿35,990(baht). May be worth writing to some of the other schools as this is the only one I've communicated with.
