Sorry to be a pain. Maybe is wasn’t true, but on another site. They stated you only need 400000 baht or international income of 40000 baht if your married to a Thai national. Is this correct? Also do I have to prove medical insurance on initial entry on UK Non O A visa or at two year renewal stage? Thanks in anticipation folks. Aidan

TLDR : Answer Summary
To apply for the Non-O A visa while married to a Thai national, you need to show either a bank deposit of 400,000 baht or a monthly income of 40,000 baht. You must also have health insurance when applying for the visa in your home country, and again when you seek to renew it after the first year. There are various ways to demonstrate financial stability if you are applying for an extension of the Non-O visa, including maintaining funds in a Thai bank account.
NON-O RETIREMENT VISA RESOURCES / SERVICES
  • Go to the Retirement Visa Section for information on requirements, including age restrictions, financial requirements, and necessary documentation.
  • For immediate assistance, contact Thai Visa Centre directly via LINE at @ThaiVisaCentre or Email them.
  • Explore recent discussions by using the Non-O Retirement Visa tag in the search box at the top of the page.

And at last the Extension of Stay based on being married to a Thai National, three ways to show you have the funds:

1. 2 months prior application date 400.000 Thb on a Thai bank account

2, minimum 12 months of monthly deposits of 40.000 Thb into a Thai Bank account on your name

3. 3 months Tax and SSO payments of you and Thai staff whereby your salary is minimum 40.000 Thb and work permit.

Then we have the Non Immigrant O visa based on being married to a Thai National. As the Thai Embassy in London as the Thai Consulate want to see 3 months of bank statements, no minimum amount mentioned

It depends on which visa you are applying for. You will not get an O-A visa Married to Thai.

Are you now in Thailand?

Did you obtain an O-A in your home country?

When one has the Married to Thai Non O visa it is 400,000 Thai baht if inside Thailand.

Can obtain a one year Non O Married Thai in Savannakhet with NO financial requirement.

So many options...

What visa or extension of stay are you seeking? I'm seeing both an extension of stay and a retirement non-o a

Asking different items in one question. Let's try to clear things up.

For the Non Immigrant O-A visa (Long Stay): If you like to apply for this visa you need a health insurance, this visa is valid for one year. But if you enter just before the valid until date you can get almost 2 years of stay out of it.
