Any uptodate london embassy info or experiences appreciated regarding non o visa for marriage.

I will be married to a thai, we have a thai company together, and will live in thailand.

My problem:

Requirement of £1500 salary for last 3 months. As i have stopped my job now so last 2 months wont show income.

My uk bank statement shows over £10000 £1500 going in each month for many years. I can provide many months statements previous to the last 2 months and also thai company papers and also statements of monies in thai bank.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks updated information regarding the Non-O visa for marriage at the London embassy, particularly about the financial requirement of a £1,500 salary over the last three months. Due to a job change, the user fears they may not meet this requirement despite having significant savings and prior statements. Various commenters suggest alternatives, including traveling to Thailand and applying for the visa at a Thai consulate in Laos, where proof of income may not be necessary. The discussion also touches on recent changes in visa requirements, particularly regarding financial documentation.

Why did you not simply withdraw £2,000 and return £1,500 every month since you stopped your employment, could do that now and say you had unpaid leave fro a trip to Thailand.

2 years ago I applied for a visa via Glasgow consulate upon entry applied for full married visa with 400,000THB.

Do you have sufficient funds above your £10K in UK bank account?

Someone asked this question a few weeks ago and I think it came around that they could also used banked money as they were in the same position as you.

I would say IF you can't get answers from them you could come to thailand, then go to the thai consulate in Savannakhet Lao to get a year-long, multi-entry Non-O visa based on marriage (because there is no proof of funds required).

with that is it correct i must leave every 3 months and after that 1 year i have to apply again outside thailand? I live in ranong so exiting thailand no problem.

Could you also explain the senario of getting a 3 month and then extending it (whether from london or savannakehet) is it 1 year extension, 1 time payment, just with visits to the imm office every 3 months?
