Hello all, I'm back in BKK on a non immigrant O visa. I am not sure what the requirements or costs are for me to extend that to 1 year? Can anyone help enlighten me?

TLDR : Answer Summary
To extend a Non-Immigrant O visa to one year in Thailand, you need to meet specific financial requirements. You can either maintain a bank balance of 400,000 baht in your account for two months prior to applying or provide a notarized affidavit from your consulate confirming an income of 40,000 baht per month. The cost for the extension is 1,900 baht.
To meet the financial requirements on a yearly extension of stay based on marriage you'd either bank 400K baht in an account in your name only for 2 months prior to you applying for the extension (and yes you CAN open a bank account without a work permit, you're just checking with the wrong bank branches) ;)
OR
You get an notarized affidavit of income from abroad from your consulate here stating you get 40K baht a month income. That's the ONLY thing you can use to prove income (unless you're legally working here and use thai pay stubs and thai tax receipts).
You are awesome! One last question about the 40,000 baht per month income. Will they take my employers work permit as sufficient proof or do I need to show some deposits in a Thai bank Account? The reason why I am asking this is because I am unable to open the thai bank account without the work permit according to BLK bank and I am under the impression that the work permit won't be valid until immigration processes and approved my visa extension?
Yep, marriage is one of the reasons. Main requirement is 400,000bt seasoned in a Thai bank for 2 months or proof of income of not less than 40,000bt per month.
