Received the initial non O visa and will ask for the extension soon. My questions; when i file the request for extension do i request 9 months or a year? Also since it is an extension request do i need to sunmit a new set of financial docs or do they act on the originally submitted financial docs submitted less than 90 days ago?
Thanks for the info.

TLDR : Answer Summary
To extend a non-O visa in Thailand, applicants should apply for a 12-month extension. It is required to submit a new set of financial documents, as the immigration office does not consider previously submitted documentation from less than 90 days ago. It is advisable to check for the current list of requirements a few days prior to applying, as these may change.

You apply for a 12 month extension and, being a new request, you supply all the documented requirements including the seasoned funds (unless your Embassy does the income affadavit)
You file for a year extension. You supply exactly the same information that you supplied initially. Sadly they don’t go back and look that you supplied the same info 90 days ago.
Perhaps it’s best to go a few days early and asked for the current list of requirements. They can and do change.
