TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation revolves around the experiences and advice regarding marrying a Thai woman and the challenges of moving her to the UK. Key suggestions include understanding the financial requirements for a spouse visa, the importance of her having ties to Thailand to prove intent to return, and the necessity for thorough paperwork and potentially engaging an immigration agent. There is also a discussion on the societal perceptions of living in the UK versus Thailand, and varied perspectives on whether moving to the UK is advisable.

All of their UK Visa applications are fully regulated by the solicitors regulatory authority back in the UK. They offer a no obligation conference with their UK immigration Director of 15 years who will discuss the merits of any application. The evidence required and professional fees drop them an email to the following Email address, they also have a British lawyer and duty solicitor as their client affairs manager here in Thailand

I hope she speaks English well as there will be language tests and a Life in the UK tests to come later on. The household must earn near on £39k too, new rules are coming soon.
Good luck, I'm on the last leg with my wife. It's worth it.

i have a 2 yr rule...no spending a penny on them if not with them...and it has worked well for me - kept me out of emotional/physical jail and brought a much needed buffer/solid distance between my bank and vacuum cleaners. but that took me a while to figure out. Learn from my mistakes and my success.

Going to be a challenge getting your Mrs a 6 month visa . She needs to prove there is intent to return to thailand and a reason . Ie a job
Applying for leave to enter which is path to permanent move would alternative but very expensive and not at all easy .. i assume she has not travelled much . Immigration want to see a busy passport .. an agent may be able to secure visa but not easy

Vote Labour as unfortunately the Tories don't want you wife there. Congratulations and good luck.

Might check out this place (if you haven't already)
so apparently according to Mr English teacher here all native English speakers or those born in England must have a last name "Smith" or "Johnson"

Congratulations on your upcoming marriage, Paul. 😊
Don’t forget that after 2.5 years you’ll be paying out visa and NHS costs again regardless, even if your wife pays NI. Then, after another 2.5 years you’ll be forking out for citizenship. Who knows how much that’s going to cost in the future.
£38,700 p.a. (new criteria) minimum earnings need to be proven over an unbroken 6 month period.
This is why I’ve come to Thailand. I wish you all the best - it’s difficult to be with the one you love. 😏
Incorrect. From April 2024, British citizens or people already settled in the UK will need to show they earn £38,700 before their overseas partner can live here with them.
...my suggestion...take your wife to France and get her on a boat across the Chanel to the UK....no visa, guaranteed entry....!!!

Your lady will have to provide proof that she has a good reason to come back to Thailand ie a job or family and home to come back to and money in the bank account for the holiday to England they will ask for proof, so sorry but I got it wrong so you are looking to move her back for good not a holiday, can I recommend that you take her frist for a holiday as it is a 6 month visa and she will decide if she likes it or not before you go to the trouble
Basically 2k for partner visa and 3k for nhs. I married in August, but we have to wait until the end of next year before even contemplating a visa thanks to some stamps in her passport. Luckily my company has a bangkok office so always option to change location.

Why would you be taking her to the UK? Even people in the UK don't want to be on that island.
try to find an online job in England that will let you work from Thailand. The inflation in England is crazy. I have family there and I hate to visit them.
