TLDR : Answer Summary
The community suggests that it's often more beneficial to apply for a UK visa yourself rather than hiring an agent. Multiple comments recommend fulfilling the requirements personally, which includes having a job, sufficient funds, and a stable living situation in the UK to support the visa application. While there are agents available like Ben Pigpig in Chiang Mai who can assist, many advise against relying on them as the process can be navigated successfully without external help. Ensure you have all necessary documentation, and consider the type of visa needed based on your wife's visit duration.

My brother is in his 40s and so is his Thai girlfriend, she never had a job as she take cares of her Mother. It’s took 6 months for the forms to get done . He works and had a house. She was in the UK for 3 months. So do it your selfs and the government will help in Thailand for her end . Good luck ✔️

Avoid agents if you can... as Jonny Diamond said, do it yourself. You have to provide all the documents for the agent anyhow! So you might as well do it yourself. No guarantee you will get a visa though as the U.K government do not want any more immigration to the U.K so are trying to deter any visa applications of any kind.

I provided all the correct documents required for my wife's first application for a visitors visa and she was refused! I ended up flying to Bankok to have a few words with the manager at the visa Centre and the lady then ensured the next application was approved. I also got my MP involved in he U.K.to ensure pressure was put on the officers reviewing the visa application.

No agent required.

Easy enough to do yourself if you / she meet the requirements.

Hi. My thai wife can help with this .. and we are NOT SCAMMERS OR GREEDY

You can do it yourself, she'll need a job and money in the bank a letter from her boss will help you also you will need to confirm that you have offered to take responsibility for her in England. It will also help her you have money to support her in England in the bank and you have housing for her to stay

I had the same problem with my wife’s sister when we invited her to visit so I took them to an immigration tribunal in the uk proved my ability to support her during her stay and stated we paid millions for immigration enforcement in the uk should she fail to return within the specified time cost me £500.00 for the lawyer in the uk he visa was granted immediately and she spent 6 month here in the uk

Sometimes you need to take it from the embassy in BK you can also apply on her behalf in the uk using your financial status cheaper than an agent who will probably fail and very straight forward to do took apex 3 months

Had to do the same when i married my wife she has now been here 16 years and has ILR

unfortunately you need a lot more than that. You need to somehow “prove” that she’s going to return that’s the keyword will she return? Does she have a business that she owns, family etc. etc. it’s not easy, tried with and without attorneys.

I did it myself without any problems, your right about the house and kids but they have to believe what she has to say about her life in Thailand and that she will be coming back to Thailand

@John *******
I put together about 100 pages of information, including letters from my parents, all my bank statements, my supporting letter, employment verification, documentation, passport, etc., etc., etc. They didn’t look at one page. They tapped on the computer screen and said no.

then your lady's not telling you about something, has she tried to go to England before in a previous time
Neil *********
No, its that she doesn't own a business etc. No assets. No proof that she will return.
