Hello everyone, I have a question... I currently have a non B Visa that is running out on the 2nd of October. I am not continuing with my job as I will be moving to the United States with my family on November 30th. I wanted to get a 2-month Visa with the covid VISA that is currently being provided however my company wrote the wrong date and instead of putting September 23rd has put October 2nd and when confronted with this they will not change. This means I will miss the covid Visa deadline. What are my Visa options. I have a Thai wife and child and I've been living in Thailand for over 10 years and any advice would be helpful.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on visa options as their current Non-B Visa expires on October 2nd. They are moving to the US on November 30th and intended to apply for a 2-month COVID visa, but their employer made an error in the termination date. Suggestions from the community include canceling the current extension before the expiration date and applying for a 60-day extension based on visiting Thai family, along with required documentation.

I believe you can go well in advance. I'd go on
*****
September to cancel and immediately apply for the Covid extension

I just noticed that the 2nd of Oct is on a Saturday. My letter states Oct. 2nd, but can I go on the 1st?

Jason you are gonna go next week up to the 23rd and cancel your current extension regardless of the end date on the cancellation letter and immediately apply for the 60 day covid extension 1900 baht. If they refuse to grant that then you immediately ask for the visit Thai family extension.

GO next week, before Friday. They'll cancel the current extension effective the date on the termination paperwork and you should have no problem applying for the 60 day covid extension right after that.

I have never had a 60-day extension. I had 90 Non-B extension to a year and that year is running out on the 2nd of Oct

You would go cancel the extension you're on now with the documentation you have (BEFORE the 27th). They'll cancel the extension and give you a new stamp letting you stay until the termination date. You should be able to apply for the 60 day covid extension right after you cancel the extension.

If the covid extension program isn't continued or for some reason your immigration office won't let you cancel this extension and then get the covid extension (as long as it's done before the 27th) you'd most likely have to take the one 60 day visit family extension you're allowed per entry ๐Ÿ˜•

ASSUMING YOU HAVE NOT ACQUIRED A 60 day extension of stay based on visiting Thai family .et.

On October 2nd, when your one year extension of stay baed on employment is over, you will cancel your one year extension of stay based on employment, and get a 60 day extension of stay based on visiting Thai Family. You will need the following:

1. Your passport and a copy of:

- Your data ("picture") page

- Your Non-O visa

- Your entry stamp

- Your departure card

2. Your wife PHYSICALLY next to you, and

- Her ID card and a copy of her ID card

- Her housebook, and a copy of the first page

3. Marriage certificate (either the rose border certificate, OR a translated copy from your home country)

4. The application form

5. 2x passport pictures

6. 1,900 THB for the processing fee.

Different immigration offices have different requirements, and this may include:

- A copy of the TM30 filed where you live

Did you already get a 60 day extension of stay based on visiting Thai family yet?

IF you can't get a 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19, you will be able to get an extension of stay based on visiting Thai Family :)
Mehdi *****
@Benjamin *****
can you please tell what is the application form that must be used for this application of this extension?
Benjamin ******
@Mehdi ****
You would use a regular extension of stay application form (TM7) from your local immigration office.
