For a Non B visa with a working permit, which was just extended for 1 year (from 90 days), can the 14 years old son of the holder apply for 90 days "non immigrant O to visit non Thai family members"?
just to say, that of course its not only a visit, but the intention is that the son apply for a one year extension in an immigration office within Thailand.
and if its possible- what document is needed to show the parenthood connection? will a birth certificate be enough (in English) ? Is there e a need for bank account balance above a certain amount?
Thank you all!

TLDR : Answer Summary
A 14-year-old child of a Non-B visa holder can apply for a Non-O visa to visit family in Thailand. To support the application, documents proving the parent-child relationship, such as a legalized or translated birth certificate, are required. Additionally, financial evidence, such as the parent's income or bank balance (minimum 400,000 Baht), needs to be provided, ensuring sufficient financial support for the child during their stay. The application can be initiated for a 90-day stay with potential for extension.

Einat Yarhi ok facebook is getting weird this was sent to a whole other post about driving in thailand i dont know how this was posted here im sorry about that.
I was responding to another post someone was warning of check points in his area and he was fined for not having a thai license - again sorry for that confusion
Einat Yarhi and to answer your post as holding a non-o B visa with work permit your legal spouse and children un-married under 20 can apply for non-o dependant visa based off your status and can live with you long term as long as your status is valid and maintained
You just need your child's birthcert translated at thai embassy and submitted with the dependant visa application
Its my understanding can be done in country after applying for the 90day non-o else where -or- convert from visa exempt as my understanding is
He needs to legalise (apostille) the birth certificate in the UK (cannot do it in Thailand), and then get both documents translated. The translated documents then need stamping by the embassy or the MFA.
Ian Morrison oh, an embassy stamp... ok. thats quiet a husstle. thank you very much. and, I wonderabout the 400,000, are you sure ...? this will be quiet difficult
Yes but he will also need documentation from your work and your own work permit etc. He can extend up to the age of 20, You should be able to show your income (if it's sufficient) rather than he having money in the bank
