TLDR : Answer Summary
The original query concerns the possibility of applying for a new visa to remain in Thailand before September 26. Responses indicate that while it's generally necessary to leave the country for a new tourist visa, options like education or non-B visas may be available if you can acquire the proper documents before the deadline. However, limitations due to travel restrictions were highlighted, urging the asker to verify current regulations with their embassy or a reliable visa agent.

Dear Patty, the latest what I hear today 'livelovethailand" information by you tube that extension is not possible anymore and the immigration advice you to return to your home country, please double check by yourself, for me it is unbelievable but give any comment is dangerous at this time. so better go to emigration where or near you life and ask, if you are married with a Thai then they will extend. good luck, I went the wrong month to visit my familie in Holland from

Yes you can. Get a reliable agent preferably on personal recommendation. Go to their office and let them take you through the process. Pay! You may have to do the last bit first.
I agree Nick. An experienced visa agent that comes with a recommendation will take all the worry off your shoulders. But, as you say, it will cost. In normal times, expect to pay 20,000 baht upwards. At this time I have read of fees of 30,000 and 40,000 baht being charged.

Why don’t you explain more about the visa you have now?
For example, have you extended your visa previously?
What visa do you have now?

There are other options, such as Ed visas, or if money is no object, Elite. Need to act fast though, as the application process takes some time.
Anyone know if we can make ED visa at chiang mai ? Thank

Be careful if you join a language school just because you think that's an easy way to extend your visa. If you join a language school you MUST attend the lessons. Immigration tends to check the schools. Actually, a language school must report to immigration if a student never shows up in classes.
you get a stamp on your passport before September 11th. Then you apply for your non b or O or whatever.
This works if you are going from any type of short stay visa to a long stay visa.
I have America teachers that are going to immigration today to get their stamp. They put in the app then for their new visa and when it all checks out, they are done.
